Tree Surgery - What's Involved
We recommend a phone call to your local authority to find out a little more about your trees; they may be covered by a TPO (Tree Preservation Order) which requires an application to be submitted to the local authority's Tree Officer for approval, the tree could be in a Conservation Area in which case you should inform the tree officer of any work you want to carry out on the tree as it may require permission from the Local Authority. If the tree is dead, dying or dangerous then it is exempt from TPO legislation but we would always advise contacting the Tree Officer prior to removal.
We will advise you with your application or we can complete the application and submitt it to the local Authority on your behalf at no additional cost.
